Women Empowerment in Harsh Climatic and Social-Cultural Environment (KEN033-12). The project is implemented by an NGO called Womankind Kenya (WAKIKE) based in Garissa in partnership with UNICEF, Religious and Community leaders. The project has demonstrated that life of people living in tough economic, cultural and political environment especially tough on women and girls can be improved through training in water resource management, food security and environment management.
