Dubai International Award for Best Practices (DIABP) is pleased to announce that the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) meeting took place in Dubai from 13 – 16 October, 2008. The objective of this meeting is to undertake an independent appraisal of validated submissions and to propose a short list together with recommendations to the Jury.
The DIABP, now in its 7th Cycle, has received upto 500 submissions from 68 countries. The TAC reviewed all the submissions and classified them into three categories: Best Practices, Good Practices and Non-Qualifying submissions. Good and the Best Practices will be added to the Best Practices Database for wide dissemination and analysis. Furthermore, a short list of 48 Best Practices has been prepared and will be forwarded to the International Jury in order to determine the twelve winners.
The International Jury will be meeting in Dubai from 11 – 14 November, 2008 and will comprise of five regionally representative experts.
The 12 winners, (10 Best Practices and 2 Best Practices Transfers) will be selected by the Jury and announced during a press conference. Each Award winner will receive a sum of U.S.$ 30,000/- along with a trophy and a certificate during a ceremony which will be hosted by DIABP.
